BRIEF CITATIONS OF HON. CHIEF UKIE EKENE-OKOT IGBEMI ADAKA(V)// RIP OBOLO SON 001
BRIEF CITATIONS OF HON. CHIEF UKIE EKENE-OKOT IGBEMI ADAKA(V)
We write to celebrate people who have make a positive mark in life.Wether alive now or late.We
write to renew history,Obolo know your leaders.
The noble crowd that followed the lifeless body of Chief (Hon) Ukie Ekene-Okot IGBEMI,Adaka(v)
when he was buried in his home town Amadaka on 9th November,1997 was evidenced of the
philosophy of Helen Keller who described life as exciting business, and more exciting when it is
lived for others-not for self.Truly Hon. Ekene-Okot lived for others.
He represented Opobo South Federal Constituency at the Ferderal House of Assembly in LAGOS
(1963-1966), with NCNC.
He was a man of great courage, full of grace and dignity.A gift to Obolo,he navigated safely
through turbulent waves and vicissitudes of human existence. He was best example of servant
leader,we remembered him for good.
We will write more regularly to celebrate our heroes, this is one of the best thing we can give
them, this refresh our spirit and remind us how frail we are.
Long live Obolo Nation
Long live Hon.Chief Ukie Eken-Okot IGBEMI
Long live Team Ebirien Ephraim
