Profile of Rt. Hon.Chief (Dr.) Francis C. Uduyork

Rt. Hon.Chief (Dr.) Francis Charles Uduyok was born on October 28th, 1973. He hails from Eastern Obolo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Hon. Francis is an accountant, businessman and politician who currently serve as a member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo Constituency of Akaw Ibom State. He has experienced a gradual elevation from the very infantry level of Students’ unionism as worldwide president of all Eastern Obolo students, Special Assistant to a former state lawmaker, two term Local Government Chairman (2007-2015),4th and 5th Democratically Elected Executive Chairman   and now Member, Federal House of Representatives, Abuja.(2015-2023) 8th and 9th National Assembly

Hon. Chief (Dr.) Francis Uduyok Early Life

Hon. Francis Uduyok attended St. Silas Primary School, Okoroete where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC). Thereafter, he attended Commercial Secondary School, Ibekwe, for his secondary education and earned his Senior School Certificate in 1996. He thereafter gained admission into the University of Calabar where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance in 2000. In his school times, he was the National President of the National Association of Eastern Obolo Students (NAOES). As the student’s leader, he initiated and implemented both scholarship and bursary awards to students of Eastern Obolo origin. He also enhanced and facilitated the establishment of the one and only secondary school in Okoroete known as Okoromita Comprehensive Secondary School, Okoroete.

Hon. Francis Uduyok Career/ Achievement (s)

Hon. Uduyok began his career with the Akwa Ibom State Local Government Service Commission as an Account Officer II. He also worked as the Public Relations Manager in China Engineering Construction Company Nig. Ltd. (CECC). He has also served as a member of a Federal Board, the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute. He was a member of several political committees in his State before his resignation to contest the Local Government elections.

From 2007 to 2015, Hon. Uduyok served as the Executive Chairman of Eastern Obolo Loval Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. As a Local Government Chairman, his interventionist projects made Eastern Obolo a reference point and a model in Local Government administration not only in Akwa Ibom State, but in the country. As a council boss, he was one of the very few local government Chairmen who could among other things attempt road projects despite the difficulty and high cost of carrying out such a project in the coastal terrain and topology of the creek of Eastern Obolo Local government. While many other local government councils were overtaken by weed, he gave aesthetics to his council by building secretariat blocks, admin block, finance / Treasury block, ultra-modern legislative block all in the Local Government headquarters.

Very notable achievement while in office for the 4th elective executive chairman was the clearing of bushes and Forest to provide access to the people and give a fresh look about Eastern Obolo  Local Government Area.

In 2015, Hon.Chief (Dr.)  Francis Uduyok was elected as a member representing Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State, under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). In the National Assembly he has sponsored motions on ALSCON reactivation, motion compelling the House members to honour and show solidarity to the victims of the Reigners Bible Church Collapse (the video of the House of Reps responds of course went viral online), motion on creation of additional State constituencies in Akwa Ibom state and Nigeria in accordance with our constitution. His legislative interests border on oil & gas, environmental re-consolidation. He hopes to contribute towards the growth and development of Nigeria.

Through his skills  hard work even as a first time member he has spearheaded many projects for his people. Some are; construction of a Mini stadium at Okoroete Eastern obolo, 4 Classroom blocks at Secondary Commercial School Ibekwe, Ikot Abasi LGA, 4 Classroom blocks at Community High School Ekim Mkpat Enin LGA, renovation of 6 classroom block at Osong Mkpat Enin LGA, 3 classroom block at ife town Mkpat Enin LGA, 3 classroom at Ikot Esene Akpan Ntuen Mkpat Enin LGA, 3 classroom block at Ukam Mkpat Enin LGA, 3

classroom block at Qic primary school, Ife town Mkpat Enin LGA, Borehole project at QIC Primary School Ife Town, Store at QIC,  Ife town Mkpat Enin LGA, 3 classroom block at Community Secondary Commercial school,  Ife town Mkpat Enin LGA,

Honourable Francis Uduyok is married and blessed with children. He lives in Abuja with his family.
