food and dishes that depends not only on their customs and tradition but on
their type of occupation fishing. Fish is very important to Obolo Man diet
since it is one of the only few sources of protein available to to
them.Again,the Obolo Man prefers to cook his food with many fish(es) other than
buying food from the local food vendors,hawekers or from restaurants.Thus,the
most popular soup among the Obolo Nation is the fresh fish soup (Usem Irien) Widely
known as "Fisher Man Soup " which is eaten on daily basis

There are soups that are usually
eaten in addition to the Fisher Man Soup. These include :
1. Oyester Soup (Usem Efie locally
call) It is made up of oyester, shrimp,prewinkle,vegetable,onions,pepper,maggi,salt,palm
oil.
How to prepare Oyester Soup:
a.
Put the raw oyester into a pot, add water to half the level of the
oyester in the pot. Place on fire to boil for minutes till the oyester start
opening by itself.
b.
Put it down and let it cool. Open each yester and remove the content.
c.
Put all the content into water in a bowel after removing it and wash.
d.
You have your oyester ready now to prepare oyester soup.
e.
Put shrimp, prewinkle,oyester into a pot add the water to the level you
want.
f.
Add onion and other ingredients while you allow it to boil,then put the
vegetable slice one when you are about to put the pot if soup down.
g.
Oyster soup is ready to be serve for meal. It usually go well with

locally called) It is made with periwinkle as the main ingredient in addition
to oyester, vegetable, palm oil and other cooking ingredients as said above.

The most popular breakfast is
plantain with pepper soup or yam with
pepper soup. The plantain or yam pepper soup is cooked with many dired fish,
cray fish, onion, pepper, salt, Maggi and mostly secent leaf. The plantain or
yam is mostly eaten with palm oil as breakfast.
