For some,especiallybefire now, the place called Eastern Obolo is not know as it is now. In the early 20th century, the territory know as Eastern Obolo existed as a part of OBOLO COUNTY COUNCIL, which comprises NGO,UNYEADA,ATABA AND OKOROETE.

before the advent of Colonial administrationin 1861,Eastern Obolo had existed under the Opobo division.The amalgamation of 1914 found Eastern Obolo and Andoni as part of the Eastern Region
